Our 3 Year Old

Isaiah, you are three years old and I must tell you, three looks good on you! Your best friends: Hudson and Owen Favorite toys: Transformer Rescue Bots, Super Hero Squad, remote control cars, tools, blocks, Nerf guns, the ipad and puzzles Favorite foods: corn dogs, corn on the cob, sushi (california roll), edamame, fruit snacks, and bananas Favorite drink: Chocky milk (aka chocolate milk) and sprite Favorite places to go: Any park and anywhere outside where you can run like crazy Favorite cartoons: Transformer Rescue Bots, Super Hero Squad, Team Umizoomi and Dora/Diego Favorite books: "Mr. Crocodile Esquire", "Dinosaur Counting", "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" and "Brown Bear Brown Bear" (side note: my favorite part of the day is when we cuddle up in bed at night and read your books) We can officially say that you are now POTTY TRAINED! You love wearing your big boy underwear and you have had a very successful month collecting new tools as you learned to use the potty like a big boy. I still have you sleep in a diaper but you wake up dry every morning and go to the bathroom first thing. I am so proud of you! You are such a sweet and loving little boy, filled with more energy than I know what to do with some days. You are doing great in school and you really love your computer class you take on Thursdays. I can tell how much you are learning and I am so glad that you are excited about it at such an early age. I hope you always stay that way. I love you sweet boy and I am so proud and honored to be your mommy. You are really growing in to such a fun little boy (and you are all boy at that)! I pray for you every day and I am so thankful to God for blessing me with such a great kid to raise and enjoy.

Isaiah's 3rd Birthday Part 4: The Zoo

On Isaiah's birthday Mike took the day off work so that we could celebrate as a family. We woke up and had cupcakes for breakfast!
While Daddy and Isaiah played the morning away I packed us a yummy picnic and we loaded up and headed to the Memphis Zoo for a day of fun. Isaiah was so happy to have his Daddy with him.

My favorite moment of the day was watching the grizzly bears eat. While we were standing at the glass Isaiah asked me to hold him. I picked him up and he wrapped his arm around my neck and reached out to put the other arm around Mike's neck. He pulled us both in and said "love you mommy, love you daddy". It was the sweetest thing ever!
We had a great time exploring all the animals and spending time together as a family.

We stayed at the zoo most of the day and when we left Isaiah crashed in the car. It worked out well because while he rested I ran some errands and Mike took a conference call. Once he woke up we went to Nagasaki for dinner and then to Ben and Jerry's for an ice cream treat.

It was a special, special day with my two favorite guys. I am so thankful to Mike for being an amazing father and for taking time away from work to make Isaiah feel so loved. I will cherish this day for the rest of my life. I loved being with them and celebrating the last three years we have spent together as a family.

Isaiah's 3rd Birthday Part 3: Chuck E Cheese

On Monday night we headed over to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate the birthday boy with Gigi, Pete, Pawpaw D, Nana, Uncle Dave, Aunt Kwissy and Layla. This is one loved little boy! Thank you all for making him feel so loved and for all the fun. I think Daddy had just as much fun as Isaiah.

Isaiah's 3rd Birthday Part 2: Menagerie Farms

We decided to do a party this year with just Isaiah's friends. He really had a great time! We chose Menagerie Farms in Collierville and I will definitely keep them in mind for the future. It was an AMAZING time. There were games set up around the riding arena to keep the little ones entertained as guests arrived, the kids took a train ride, we milked the goat, road ponies, fed fish and goats, chased chickens, saw an 800 pound pig, took a hay ride and picked pumpkins at the pumpkin patch. A wonderful fall evening! I have so many pictures that I will keep the writing short and just let you see all the fun we had.
Thank you so much to all of our sweet friends that came out to celebrate. We hope you all had an amazing time and know you are all so special to us. Also accept this as our thank you note for gifts! Isaiah had all of his presents dumped out on the den floor before I was unloaded and able to write down what everyone gave. YOU ROCK!
