Christmas Take 2

On Christmas Eve we went to service at High Point Church with Mike's mom, Pete, Ash and Nick. If you are in Memphis and looking for a church home I would reccommend checking it out. I have heard so many great things about what is happening at this church! Then we went and spent some time with our sweet friends the Cobb's. It was so fun to watch all the kids run and play in the house. Christmas morning was spent with Pawpaw, Nana, Aunt Ashy, Uncle Nick, Uncle Dave, Aunty Krissy, Janet and the pups. After a mid day nap we head to Grandma Jean's for more food, presents and family time with Gigi, Pete, Aunt Ashy, Uncle Nick, Uncle Dave, Aunt Krissy, Grandma Jean, Christina, Scotty, Carmen, Blake, Rachel, Landon, Melissa, Lisa, Stephanie, Austin and Amber. Wow! That's a big family! Amber was in love with Isaiah and he loved her too! She was such a great little helper I wish she could come live with me and help out. hehehe FYI, this is going to be a long picture post!

Christmas Take 1

This Christmas was a little bitter sweet. Bitter: Mike's Pawpaw Aubrey passed away just before the holiday and Sweet: we spent Christmas with family. Before we left for Memphis we went ahead and opened up the presents we had at home. You will see that the teacher in me went a little book crazy! Cappy and GranDebbie had already shipped their gifts as well.

Now apparently when we were on vacation this summer Isaiah asked his GranDebbie for an ipad2. I'm not really sure why a one year old needs an ipad2, but I am having lots of fun teaching him about it! ;)

Santa found Isaiah in Memphis and delivered his special present to him. We had lots of fun playing with the bounce house in GranDebbie and Cappy's den, but it works much better in our backyard. LOL

Nature Walk

Traveling with a toddler can be very exhausting sometimes. Couple it with all the running around we do on a trip home to Memphis and it can create some pretty stressed out parents. So, thank goodness for mother nature! My parents are living in Piperton now and it is absolutely breathtaking. Our view from our bedroom window every morning was picture perfect. The neighborhood they are living in has some great walking trails. They take you around two lakes and down to the Wolf River. We packed up our toddler, stroller, camera and Chubs to embark on a great adventure. That fresh air was just what our family of three needed! Here are some snapshots of this fun family moment.

San Augustine Lane

This is the name of the street I grew up on. This is the place my childhood memories come from. This is the place I made some of my best friends. This is the place I will always call home!
I have so many great memories of the old neighborhood. Riding bikes and gocarts with the boys, playing basketball, riding down the hill on sleds and big wheels, exploring in the field, the park, the pond, Halloween parades, playing with our toys Christmas morning, getting ready for formal dances and having the neighbors come over to take pictures, waterbeds, snowball fights in bathing suits, somebodys den catching on fire, dolly parton and kenny rogers sing a longs, "MAAAAAARY", swimming, laughter and love!
We went to Memphis for the holidays and got to spend some time with some people that are a big part of these memories. Nick and Natalie lived across the street from us for as long as I can remember. We got in to some trouble together along the way but always had a good laugh when it was said and done. I am so glad they got to bring their kiddies over for a little morning fun and to add some more memories to the vualt !
Ella, Addie, Owen and Isaiah had fun with the piano!
Owen's facial expressions crack me up. They are classic Nick faces!

The girls were like little ballerinas twirling and dancing everywhere. You can tell these two cousins are best friends!

I wish we could all get together more often!

Friends and Fun!

Our friends, the Garmons, have season passes to Lowry Park Zoo. They can use one of their passes for a guest and since the kiddies get in free, Tara and I decided to pack up and have a little fun one day. Here are some pictures from our adventure! Thanks Tara and Mason for letting us tag along.

We relly did do and see a lot more but it was so hard to keep up with two toddlers and pictures. The birds were my favorite but I think Isaiah liked running around with the kangaroos. The monkeys were so funny and loud that day. We just sat and laughed at all the silly noises they were making.
