Summer Bucket List

When school let out for summer we sat down with Isaiah one night and came up with some summer goals that we wanted to accomplish as a family. We did our best to do each one all while having lots of fun and making sweet memories. (the ones we did not complete are being moved to our fall goals list). Incredible Pizza: This place is NUTS! They have food and drink buffets, movie rooms, black light golf, cosmic bowling, go carts, laser tags and a million arcade games. Isaiah loved every minute of it and Isabella is always just happy to be along for the ride.
Pontooning at Heber: Being on a pontoon boat is one of the things that makes me happiest in life. There is something so calming about it. Thankfully my kids take after me! We had the best time spending the weekend at the Roost with family and being out on the water. We explored parts of the lake I had never seen before and we even found a hidden waterfall. It really is one of the most beautiful places.
Swimming: We swam A LOT! Isaiah took swim lessons again this summer and got very good at it. It was nice to be able to let him go and not have to be standing right beside him. Our favorite spots were the GAC pool, Stiles Beach and PawPaw D's pool.
Zoo: We love, love, love our annual pass to the zoo. Early summer was pretty mild so we made quite a few trips out to explore and burn some energy. Our favorite is watching the Grizzly Bear feedings.
Splash Park: We hit up Johnson Park and the splash pad at the GAC quite a bit. We even made our own "splash park" a few times.
We also did the Dive In Movie at the GAC. Complete with popcorn, slushies and swimsuits. Rio 2 was on the big screen.
Feed the ducks: We took a family walk to the park one night and fed some not so hungry ducks. I have never seen such a thing but these ducks must have been fed all day long. We did get to see some cute ducklings though.
I am so glad that we put this list together. It reminded us to be intentional about the time we spend together as a family. Things can get so busy and we go in so many different directions and it is important to make time to be alone as a family.

6 month pics

Isabella had her six month photos done with the AMAZING Elizabeth Wiggs. We had such a fun afternoon chatting, playing with IJ and changing her outfits. Thank you, Elizabeth, for the great conversations and for capturing such great shots of my sweet baby girl!  I know I came in with a lot of ideas and you really brought them to life for me.
Rocking the Matilda Jane
Playing "dress up" in the mirror. Isabella loves to look at her reflection and talk to herself so I knew I needed a mirror pic.
This is THE shot!  When I saw it I literally cried.
IJ and her Grannie quilt. Such a treasure.
Roll Tide y'all!

7 month stats

Weight: 18lbs 4oz
Length:
Eating:  you are drinking around 24 oz of formula a day and eating all kinds of yummy foods (bananas, apples, peaches, pears, peas, beans, squash, carrots, etc)
Likes:  playing with and exploring new toys (especially ones that have buttons). You love to push the button and see what happens. You are in LOVE with your big brother. He can almost always make you smile and laugh. You also love to cuddle with me when you are ready to go to sleep (here's a secret, I like it too).
Dislikes:  being left alone in a room
Sleeping:  around 730 each night we start your bath and bedtime routine. After a warm splashy bath you get a mini massage with lotion and some cuddle time in your rocking chair. I put you down (awake most times) around 8 and you are out by 815. You usually wake up within an hour and fuss yourself back to sleep in about 10 mins. Then you sleep until about 430am when you wake for a bottle then back to sleep until 8am. You are also sleeping on your belly now.
Things you are doing:  10 days before hitting the seven month mark you started army crawling. To be honest, I cried!  You have been the best baby and I feel like it is going by way too fast. You also started using sign language for "all done" and you verbally say "baba" when you want to eat. I guess that's your first word. Your newest trick is a very high pitched scream when you want to get someone's attention (if I'm being honest this is not one of my favorite tricks you do hahahaha). You are starting to pull up on things so I'm sure you will be cruising soon.
