Back in November Isaiah had more special visitors. His Pawpaw and Nana came to visit. He had such a blast playing with them and we are so happy they were able to come and spend some quality time with us!
Isaiah loved flying through the air with Pawpaw and Nana does the best Donald Duck impersponation.
Pawpaw played football at LSU and they were in town the weekend of the Bama and LSU game. This picture makes me laugh. Isaiah is saying "Oh No,Pawpaw is an LSU fan!"

Tis' the Season (take 2)
Last year we did not take Isaiah to have his picture made with Santa. He had colic and Mommy was completely exhausted. Plus we had a long road trip to make to Memphis and I had to pack everything but the kitchen sink! This year it was a MUST DO on our list. I will be honest with you, I was 99.99999% sure that Isaiah would go into full meltdown mode. I mean a big, hairy man in funny clothes being overly nice and chuckling some strange "ho, ho, ho" sound? I would be a little scared too! However, I also think the screaming baby pictures are CLASSIC and everyone needs at least one (if not more)in their collection.
So, off we go to see the Santa man. His helper Elf started prepping us as soon as we walked in the door. "Now, Mom just take him and approach Santa slowly. Take your time. Talk a little to Santa and act casual." Heck, I wanted to drop him on his lap and run. Bring on the tears buddy! Give Mommy her picture. I know I sound like a terrible Mom right now, but I truly find humor in this. Of course the nurturing Mommy/teacher in me did just as the Elf said. And when it was time, I plopped him on his lap and ran to the camera man. I hadn't even let go of Isaiah yet and he was screaming. HERE IS MY PERFECT PICTURE CAPTURED ON FILM (actually I took of pic of the pic with my phone so forgive the quality).
I don't know who is funnier, Isaiah or Santa! hahahaha!
I was perfectly pleased with the picture and encouarged the camera man and Santa to keep going but they thought we should try something a little different. So for the sake of the grandparents we attempted a shot with a happy baby! Out of sight, out of mind!
I must say that Santa and his elves were super patient, kind and fun with us. We spent about 10 minutes talking, playing and photographing. They never made us feel rushed or uncomfortable. Tis' the season to be jolly!

Tis' the Season!
Gearing up for Christmas in Central Florida when it's still 80 degrees is still not something I have gotten used to. Memphis has already had snow twice this winter and we can still work on our tans! So to help get in the spirit, after Thanksgiving we put up our tree and I had a little photography fun with Isaiah. It is rather difficult to take his picture since he is constantly moving. We also took a trip to Sea World (thanks to Gigi and Pawpaw Pete for our season passes) and saw some great Christmas shows. I LOVE downtown Lakeland. We went to the yearly Christmas parade (which I have no pictures of because I forgot my camera) and Munn Park has all their lights up so we also went exploring. Here are some pictures of our Christmas fun!

Green Meadows Farm
Boy oh boy has our family of three been busy the last few months. I can't remember the last time just the three of us went out on an adventure. I love doing new things with Isaiah. He is so full of life and watching him grow and learn makes my heart smile! After a nasty stomach bug and a day of rest I decided our little family was over due for a day of fun. At 1130 Friday night, Mike and I finally decided on Green Meadows Farm. It's in Kissimmee, just south of Disney. A lot of times I find that things really aren't quite geared for Isaiah yet, but this was PERFECT! GMF is a petting zoo but throughout the property are some AMAZING vintage tractors, trucks, wagons and fire trucks. They are on a constant rotation with tour guides and you just hop in and make the rounds until you get back where you started. The animals are so gentle and I guess they are totally used to being yanked and pulled at. Let's just say that Isaiah doesn't understand the "gentle" thing yet. WOW! We got to milk a cow, chase and feed sheep, pet bunnies, chase and feed goats, waddle after ducks, CATCH chickens and roosters (this was hilarious), hold ducklings and baby chicks, ride a pony (Isaiah was NOT a fan of this), learned some interesting facts about pigs (did you know they are one of the smartest animals, just behind chimps and dolphins), Zorses (zebra/horse breed), bulls, mini horses, tortoises and quite a few others. There was also a hay ride, train ride and some GREAT antiques to climb around on. I would highly reccomend this outing for anyone looking for something fun to do. There were kids there of all ages. I even buddied up with a little kindergartener (he was a riot....man do I miss teaching some days. The teacher in me was all over him with questions, hahaha) Here are some snap shots of our day!
The Zorse (dad was a zebra, mom was a horse). Had it been the opposite he would have been a Hebra!
Petting, chasing, feeding and trying to KISS the sheep! Daddy was a little germed out by that one! hahaha
Baby chicks and ducklings. They were so furry and cute and sweet. I kind of wanted to bring one home. Isaiah went in for the kill at first, but he really did start to understand being "easy" with them.
Rooster/chicken Chase!
Turkey Run! Time to catch Thursday night's dinner!
Petting the cow and helping Daddy milk the cow! (sidenote, we went through LOTS of hand sanitizer. Isaiah's hand permanently lives in his mouth. I TRY not to give him his paci during the day but today was an exception. His hands were so stinky. LOL)
Feeding the goats!
Big Green Tractor....John Deere style!
A little red tractor fun!
This truck is my absolute favorite! I don't know why I am so drawn to it, but it's amazing! (and yes, we dressed isaiah in overalls just for the trip to the farm)
What little boy doesn't love a good fire truck? It's like a giant jungle gym. Maybe I should ask santa to put one in our back yard. hahaha
What a fantastic day of memory making. A great breakfast with the Lewis' at Cozy Oats, hours of fun at Green Meadow Farms, and a Bama win (along with some pretty important losses!) ROLL TIDE YALL!
