Thanksgiving

This year we did a potluck style lunch with Mike's dad and stepmom then headed to his grandma's house after naps for dinner. It was a pretty relaxing day spent with family and my pregnant belly was quite satisfied.
My favorite part of the holiday was when Isaiah offered to help me with ALL the cooking. I made squash casserole, dressing and two pecan pies. He was so excited to help and I enjoyed telling him stories about my Grannie and Memaw and all the food they would cook for us when we were younger. I am so lucky to have this tender hearted little helper in my life. I say it all the time, but I am really loving this age with him.
He came out of the playroom dressed in his chef jacket and apron. Cutest chef I've ever seen.
Pecan pies
Dressing: crumbling up the cornbread
Sautéing the onion, celery and butter
Spreading it out in the pan to bake
Daddy got to carve the turkey and bless the food. I love this man of mine.
My mother in law did a beautiful job with the table and all the other fixins'. We had soooooo much food.

4 year old Preschool

Isaiah started school in August and he is LOVING it!  We changed schools this year and we are so happy with our choice. Isaiah has two awesome teachers and they do an amazing job teaching and communicating. We struggled with his behavior last year but he has improved tremendously this year. He gets excited about doing homework and he is starting to read. This is right up my alley and actually makes me miss teaching kindergarten. I love watching kids learn to read.
First day of school
Learning is fun
Homework time
Special day date to Chuck E Cheese for a month's worth of excellent behavior

Second Trimester

So I really expected to wake up in my second trimester feeling like a new person. That didn't happen. I was sick through week 18 and was still absolutely exhausted. After a visit to my OB and some blood work I learned my iron was low so I started an iron supplement. This helped tremendously. I finally had some energy and only needed to nap every other day. Hahahaha!
20 weeks

Cravings: carbs, carbs, carbs! Twizzlers.  I was able to add red meat back in to my diet and Mike is thankful that I can cook again. He still had to brown up the meat if I was using ground beef but I could handle the rest.
Can't stand: Mexican food
Exercise: I stopped water aerobics once I could stomach being hot and started walking and biking 4-5 days a week. My goal was always 3-7 miles depending on how much time I had. This really helped me gear up for all the walking at Disney as well.
Weight gain: kept off the ten pounds I lost in the first trimester.
Baby name:  it's a BOY and he will be named Luke Michael!
